| Bill Chaves was named as Eastern Washington University's Athletic Director on August 17, 2007. Chaves becomes Eastern's 13th athletics director in the last 40 years, including the ninth since Eastern became a member of NCAA Division I in the 1983-84 school year and a member of the Big Sky Conference in 1987-88. |
May 2011 Dear Eagle Family, Well, we just put the finishing touches on the 30th Orland Killin Dinner, Dance and Auction. It was a tremendous turnout of support for Eastern Athletics and thank you to everyone that attended, supported and donated to the cause. A special thank you to a number of folks on our staff who did a tremendous job making this happen – Judy Crabb, Kyle Hoob, Davin Perry, Brenda Howe, Kara Pein and Don Ross, as well as all others on our staff and a number of our student-athletes who helped set up and break down. The 2012 Killin weekend is tentatively scheduled for April 28th so mark your calendars now!! EAA FUND DRIVE - Our annual EAA Fund Drive is off to a GREAT start but we need to finish strong. As you know we are looking to eclipse the 1000-member mark. So if you are on board already – thank you!! And if you know someone who is not and should be – please help us get them on board.
