Our annual Red-White Football Spring Game and our Alumni Soccer Game both take place on the 24th prior to the Killin. It is a busy time for our staff but what a tremendous opportunity for all of us to visit with old and new friends alike. If you are interested in any or all of these events, please log onto www.goeags.com or call us at 509-359-2463 – they should be great.
CONGRATULATIONS…
On an historic season for our women’s basketball team. They accomplished a number of firsts as well as a number of firsts in quite a while. Coach Schuller’s team was able to win the program’s first-ever Big Sky Regular Season title while also participating in post season (WNIT) for the first time since 1987. In addition, junior Julie Piper, was the first Eagle to be named Conference Player of the Year. Sophomore Brianne Ryan was named co-Defensive Player of the Year while Junior Kyla Evans was named second team. It should be fun to watch this team again next year make another run at a Big Sky title.
CONGRATULATIONS II….
To senior track and field student-athlete, Nicole Luckenbach, who was selected as an at-large competitor in the weight throw at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
Nicole was ranked 16th going into the competition and finished 14th. In addition, Nicole was name Field Athlete by the Big Sky Conference at the Conference’s Indoor Championships. She also became the first Eastern female to compete at the NCAA Championships indoors since 1995 when Joyce Rainwater competed in the 55 meters.
