• No major changes or changes to seeding took place Wednesday. The only changes that were made were for replaced contestents in boys 1A (100)and girls 2B, and additional relay alternates not originally received by the district have been added. Only in the girls 2B javelin has the flight order been altered.
  
  

• Times from 1A District 5 were entered into their Hytek database as fully automatic times, and subsequently were imported as such into the State Meet Hytek database. However, those were actually hand times, and all marks have since been adjusted and are reflected in the new heat/flight sheets and performance lists below. However, in only one occurance did the adjustments affect the seeding of No. 1 seeds, and that was negated by a wrong time submitted by another district. Therefore, no adjustments to seeding have been made as a result of the incorrect times. If you have a question regarding this, contact Dave Cook (dcook@ewu.edu).
• No other major changes or changes to seeding have taken place since Sunday. • Starting Heights in Pole Vault:     Boys: 1B - 6'6"     2B - 8'6"  1A - 9'6"      Girls: 1B - 6'0"   2B - 6'0"    1A - 7'0"
• Starting Heights in High Jump:    Boys: 1B - 4'11"   2B - 5'4"   1A - 5'2"     Girls: 1B - 4'1"   2B - 4'4"    1A - 4'2"  
• There were no additional qualifiers in 1B running events for boys and girls, therefore, there will be no preliminaries and all races will be run as finals.
• The only additional qualifiers in 2B running events with preliminaries were in the boys 2B 4x100 relay (1 from District 5) and the boys 2B 4x400 relay (1 from District 5), thus creating the only three-heat preliminaries of the State meet. In this heat, the top two finishers in each heat will advance to the finals, as well as the next two fastest times. In prelims with two heats, the top three finishers in each heat plus the next two fastest times advance.
• In distance races in heat sheets posted below and in the program, the front row consists of positions 1-8 and the second row consists of positions 9-16. There were two additional qualifiers in the boys 1A 1600 meters (2 in District 1/2/3). Those two runners will be given positions 17 and 18 and will be in the third row.
• Other events with extra entrants who met the minimum qualifying standards: 2B Boys Pole Vault (1 extra from District 4, 1 extra from District 5); 2B Boys Long Jump (1 extra from District 5); 2B Girls Triple Jump (1 extra from District 5); 1B Boys Long Jump (1 extra from District 4).
• There were un-filled allocations in the following events from the following districts: 1B Boys Pole Vault (1 allocation in District 4, 1 allocation in District 7; 1 allocation in District 1/2/3); 1B Girls Pole Vault (1 allocation in District 4, 2 allocations in District 7); 1B Girls 3200 (1 allocation in District 7); 1B Girls 4x200 Relay (1 allocation in District 4, 1 allocation in District 7); 1B Girls 4x400 Relay (1 allocation in District 4).
